The BIG Nor'Easter

Well, I made it in today to work and surprising by the 7:30 meeting. I almost had an accident... started to slid on Lincoln Drive when it becomes Kelly Drive. Almost hit the guardrail. Didn't though... I did not realize that my chest had compressed and my heart stopped (not literally of course) until after when the person behind me, honked. Honked... Why did they honk? To tell me that I was skidding? I was only going 25mph. I think it was going through the curve and hitting the brakes at the same time. Not hitting them hard but just enough to slow a little bit and obviously enough to start going into a skid. Again, HONKED? I don't understand some of the people here in this state. They have been the absolute worst drivers that I have encountered. Worst than IL and I thought they were awful. Those drivers race up the side, whether it is a bike lane or not. PA drivers drive fast, they drive fast whereever and drive unsafely. Interesting enough the worst offenders are the ones in the middle of the day who seem to be having nothing else to do but errands. I hate the school pick-up times as well. But what is the absolute worst, more "worser" than the middle of the day drivers are the ones that have the handicap license plates... unsafe lane changes, speeding. They also seem the most impatient. I wonder what the PD stands for on the back of the license plate... "physically disabled", "permanently disabled"... I need to look this up.

Anyway.... another few inches are about to dump onto the Philadelphia county and I have never seen a state that seems to not be able to handle the snow particularly one on the East coast. Chicago never seem to have this problem...

Here's to safe driving on the way home...
