When in doubt, DON'T call the parents

So, I called my parents this AM... They are in Taiwan BTW and I used skype...
Skype is a nifty little thing. I can call anyway without paying for telephone landline service so it does make me feel more connected since initially it weirded me out that my god-given parents were no longer in the same country as I.
The one caveat is that like internet porn and chatrooms & etc... there is also skype "chats" and my young unadulterated son, unbeknownst to him, somehow got someone, somewhere who wanted to "chat"... So I had to turn off the skype on my computer if I was not present. The other thing that one also needs to watch out for is that if you leave yourself "on" by skype, the people that you are connected with by skype, can ring you up since they can "see" whether you are on the computer or not... Not good for someone who wants to be incognito...

Anyway, never good to call one's parents when one is not feeling that strong and so I had to confirm that again and have them put the fear of God into me... I guess it is a good thing but now again, a study schedule that I need to stick to and a feeling of complete and utter incompetency...

It is not enough to have that countdown clock remind me of how little time I actually have but to have my parents keep reminding me... well that is for the birds...
